This year's goals in crafts

At the tail end of last year I finally started understanding how to cast on and off, how to make a knit swatch, and working in the round for knitting. It took me a long time to come to an understanding and to even find the motivation to learn how to knit. I didn't have any family members who knew how nor anyone close by I could ask for help from.

I've crocheted for a long time now and while I don't mind the look of it, my interest lies in wearables. I don't like the drape or texture of crochet garments and I always knew if I learned how to knit I'd rarely ever crochet again - maybe except for rags, placemats, and filet crochet.

1. The Bifurca Pullover is from Teti Lutsak who is one of my favorite creators as of now. I've already bought the supplies needed for it, my main color is going to be a burnt pumpkin orange and my contrasting color is going to be a dark red maroon. I'm waiting to start this until I've made a few wearables because of it's modular construction and just because the colorway I'm making it in is more autumn themed.

2. This is the Boatneck top from nelsknits. This is the top I'm currently working on! My colorway is from KC yarns and is called melted sorbet. It features a pastel assortment of mint, pink, and yellow in a 100% cotton yarn. It is very reminiscient of easter, so I hope to have it done by then (at the latest!) I plan to make multiple of these tops considering the beautiful neckline, she also has a tutorial for a long-sleeve version I hope to follow.

3. This is a Handkerchief curtain that I'm aspiring to make. I've been an avid collector of hankies for a long time and have amassed a large collection. I'd like to use my grandma's sewing machine and do some hand sewing for finishing details and make a very wimpsy and southern gothic vibes curtain.

4. The Dancing stars hat captures another goal I have this year in my resolutions! In my deep desire and want to grow my hair out I want to have this beanie done by fall time so I can do cute french braids with the hat taking center stage and keeping my ears warm. I love the colorway used for it and the design.

5. The Rosamund Tank captures that perfect antique lace feeling and has a beautiful drape. I really want to get the yarn to make it in a more cool toned blue for summer.

6. I usually only ever wear skirts and this Sakura skirt has so many possibilties to it! I would like to make several in varying lengths ranging from vibrant to dull colors.
